I'm biased, definitely. I'm not one to read books of romance, so that probably had something to do with my rating. I try to read books with as little info possible beforehand because it's generally more enjoyable that way. So, when I read that The Marsh Girl had been suspected for murder, I assumed the whole story would be about the murder. I will say it was my fault for overlooking the cover, and the reviews stating “a coming of age narrative.” Overall, as someone who doesn't like romance, I give it three stars. It's cute, interesting, and the little twist at the end was surprisingly fun.
