Another one down in my project to increase my poetry reading. There were both poems that ‘spoke to me' and those that did not in this anthology. But it seems to be an important collection and I'm very happy to have read it.

This is the only poetry anthology I have ever read cover to cover and had a hard time putting down. There are so many voices and stories we haven't heard. Joy Harjo, our current U.S. National Poet Laureate, edited this book with the help of assistant editors dedicated to each regional section.
