I really wanted to love this book. The premise really intrigued me, and I was in the mood for a cozy mystery. But it wasn't a consistent hit for me.

Every time there was a pop culture reference, it really took me out of the story. I wondered how soon it would be before it becomes outdated.

I didn't like the multiple perspectives in the book. I wanted to stay with Vera the whole time and see more of her wild personality. I just didn't care as much about the other characters to spend so much time with them. I loved Emma, though.

Like many other readers, I picked up on the murder by the second act. The reveal was drawn out and the resolution didn't make sense.
