Unwanted will definitely tug, yank, rip your heartstrings. It's a beautifully heartbreaking story of finding your place in the world and realizing you can always go home.
Life has been unkind to Arlo and he didn't deal well with it in the past but he has found his purpose in life and he is making a difference in others lives as well...except he has not truly been living. His foster brother's accident brings home past hurts and he has to finally deal with all of his skeletons.
Frankie nearly lost the love of his life then realized he had to break his heart for him to survive. He's been running from his past until his brother has a life altering accident.
Arlo & Frankie were toxic in the past but now they are both in good places. The only thing that's missing is love...especially since they haven't gotten over each other. They have done things to work through and admit but they realize they deserve another chance at love & happiness.
As a mom of an addict in recovery I think Marley wrote a beautiful & gritty story of love & acceptance. She doesn't sugar coat Arlo's struggles and I truly appreciate that Arlo has a good support system & he pays it forward. For our family group sessions we're eye opening & when Arlo's family shows up to his meeting that was a beautiful thing.
I can't wait to read Rhys, Samuel & Lennox's story.
