You know when a boom is written so fucking well that you should love it but you just don't connect with the characters, this book was that. Logistically everything was perfect and this sounds dramatic but my heart wasn't in it. Possibly adding to my feeling is this book was a little too long for my liking.
Charlie was selfless to a fault. If someone could be too selfless, it would be this girl. It was annoying not in the way that it killed the story but instead had me wanting to yell at her to choose herself. She started to choose herself when is forced to marry an intimidating mafia boss and feeling begin to sprout. What comes after is a lot of fighting, a lot of giving in wink and a few twist and turns. A very hot forced marriage mafia book but a little on the longer side and characters that might be hard to connect to.
Addicting age gap mafia romance! A solid 4.5 star.
