Under One Roof

Novellas don't really work for me. They just feel too rushed. This one was cute, but I wasn't the fan of the way it began with the couple getting together, and then going back in time to show how they got to that point. Because even though it's a romance novel, and we KNOW the two leads are obviously going to get together, taking away the mystery of when and how it happens kind of made it fall flat.

I dont understand why do all the characters in ali hazelwood's books dont like sex...

I'm unsure of what to rate this..because i dont know if i liked it or not.

I'm pretty convinced that Ali Hazelwood knows exactly what I want to read and writes just that! This was such a fun, short novella following Mara and Liam. I listened to the audiobook which was short and sweet with well done dual narration. My only complaint is that I want more from these characters! I became attached and then the novella ended, and I was so bummed. The premise around the novella is unique and not something I'd read before. This is a forced proximity, grumpy sunshine, and quirky romance with both sweetness and spice. I just love their romance so much, and like I said, I want more! I found this novella relatable because my husband and I are both in STEM. Aspects of their story kind of paralleled with ours and that was fun. This is out now on audio with the kindle format coming out May 3, 2022. This is an adult romance novella, 18+ for sexual content and language.

I saw this was available through my local library (yay! for libraries and the Libby app) after reading The Love Hypothesis (which I really liked). Ali Hazelwood is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine. Cute, fun, fast read. A little on the tropey side and a lot predictable, but sometimes that's exactly what I'm looking to read.
