Under Loch and Key

So....... Going in blind bites me in the ass again.

The cover lead me to believe we were going to have a fun little vacation romp in Scotland. Possibly with like maybe a reporter looking into the loch ness monster and a grumpy local hating her for it.

What I didn't expect was this to have such a big paranormal-esque vibe. Had I known that going in, I might have enjoyed it a little more, however, I did not.

So, I was shocked when our MMC was actually Nessie, the LNM. And that our MFC was basically the descendant of a witch.

There was a mystery storyline about curse breaking, love and spice. Spice both in human form and partial monster form. Again, not expecting that.

Overall, not a bad book, possibly better if you are prepared for what it actually is, and not just expecting a cute, contemporary rom com.
