“Have you ever really had a teacher? One who saw you as a raw but precious thing, a jewel that, with wisdom, could be polished to a proud shine? If you are lucky enough to find your way to such teachers, you will always find your way back. Sometimes it is only in your head. Sometimes it is right alongside their beds.” ♡
I'm glad I read this book. I'm glad, and I'm overwhelmed with emotion. Morrie seemed like such an amazing man. I have never met or had a teacher like him. I'm thankful that Mitch shared all that he learned from Morrie with us as well.
It's interesting in way how truthful “giving is living” is. Morrie died many years before I was born, but I still learned from him. It's profound.
If you have the chance to read this novel, please do.
