Trust Me, I Hate You

The title of the book told me I was going to chuckle and I was right. Trust Me, I Hate You (Books Unite People LLC, 2020) is written by Romeo Alexander and John Harris and there is humor mixed in with the reality of military life.

Alexander and Harris handle death with sensitivity, humor, and anger which is exactly how it feels in real-life. The writing team did not shy away from depression or isolation as a tool of dealing with death and living. This does not mean that the book is maudlin or depressing. Far from it which is why I give Alexander and Harris credit for balancing real-life situations with writing a contemporary romance book.

I was rooting for everyone in this book and so will you. Kudos once again to Alexander and Harris and a great treat for us.
