FUCK I loved this book. I had previously been a lil underwhelmed by [b:The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry 18293427 The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry Gabrielle Zevin https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1404582137l/18293427.SX50.jpg 25694131] so when people were raving about this one I was like, IDK I been burned before? (OK not even burned but just like lightly scalded by overhype.) But I was intrigued enough by the premise that I checked it out and wow wow wow couldn't put it down. LOVE these messy-ass characters and how real their messy-ass relationships were (including their messy-ass relationships to their own religions/cultural identities/disabilities). LOVE the valuation of creative non-romantic partnerships. LOVE the way the video game themes resonated. HATE how much I cried about it!! UGHHH
