The plot of the series became too crazysauce for me Doppelgangers of every non-Runner in another reality? Really?, and I grew weary of the old “I must push him away because I'm not worthy of someone so hot and nice/I'm a wanted man and would put him in danger” dynamic. It's rare for me to not finish a trilogy once I start it, but I have a lot of books on my TBR list that will be read before I tackle this one's conclusion.
