This Wicked Fate

This book was honestly such a hard let down for me. Coming off the the very abrupt ending to the first book I was expected the speed to continue on into this second book. It did not. In fact even though there was a strict due date to this book it seemed the majority of it was spent with the characters not doing much of anything. The level of the relationships also seemed very off to me. It seems some of the ‘doing nothing' time could have been used to make the depth of the relationships seem more believable. Super bummed this book did not live up to the first

i cannot put into words how little i care about marie

I loved the setting of book one and this one focused more on relationships. It was what the duology needed even though I didn't love it.
