Thief

I don't think I've ever read a more emotional book series. I was so nervous to start reading Thief because I didn't know how much more Olivia and Caleb's relationship could take. I did enjoy reading from Caleb's POV as we get to hear his story of how he came to love Olivia and how she has affected him over the years. Tarryn does a really great job of giving you what you want and then taking it away the next chapter. Thief had me shouting at my Kindle, laughing, and crying. I was emotionally spent by the end but it was so worth it.

Perhaps it's because our POV is from Caleb, the heretofore perfect man, who is revealed to be as f**ed up as Olivia or Leah and perversely that made me love him. He sins by omission and commission. marrying while being in love with someone else, staying and working through said marriage while in love with someone else, not getting a paternity test when Leah dropped her bomb and waiting over a year to see Estella We also get some of the events in the two prior books from his POV, thus clarifying many situations but it is not a retread of the other books. There is a lot forward momentum and many things happen in this book. You won't be bored but beware of whiplash and hold on tight. These people, mainly Olivia and Caleb, make poor decisions as I'm sure many of us do in our lives and did during our younger years and boy do they pay! Sometimes I thought: wow that was too much Estella's accident but in reality life can be a colossal F-You sometimes.There is a happy ending but it is tinged bittersweet like all of the best and true love stories. All in all a great series if you're in the mood for unpredictable but quite believable characters and events and most of all lots and lots of emotion. Because that's the core of this book. Not sex. I think I have finished this since June but why have I not added this on my ‘read' list, I do not know. I had this on my TBR because of that cover of course but before reading this, of course I had to start the first two books, which I totally do not regret because The Opportunist and Dirty Red does not disappoint. I tell you, Tarryn Fisher is the bomb!

Anyway, both would lead to this, which we all know WILL have a happy ending after all those heartache that were thrown at us on the first two books, really amazing twists but kind of soft at the end, that's why I'm giving this only a four. It could have been a five had not the thing with Leah came up, I think that was something that was not put into a great thought, it should have gone back to the drawing board, that one. Either way. All was good and it was a great read. :)
