They Called Us Enemy

I loved this book by George Takei about his experience in an internment camp. It broke my heart, opened my eyes, and challenged what I thought I knew. It also made me laugh, realized the importance of family and friends, and invited me to be better in taking time to understand others and to be kind to everyone. It is a graphic novel so it is a quick read. I highly recommend it.
