Laurel was annoying, Poppy was insufferably annoying, Floyd was cloyingly annoying and I ended up having a very hard time getting invested in what happened to any of them. Everything seemed so predictable. To be honest I think I really just don't vibe with Jewell's writing style so really take my review with a grain of salt unless we have very similar tastes.
