Reviews with the most likes.
So, it is just easier writing one big review for the series than individual ones since I read the whole thing in one day. Partly you can say I liked it so much I didn't want to stop, but it can also be said that I didn't stop because I knew if I did I wouldn't continue... So, a solid 3 stars right in the middle haha.
The series has an interesting concept of being a dystopian reverse harem, where female births are rare and dangerous (to both mother and child) so the ratio is about 15 men to 1 woman. Yikes! There is also the fact that Tia ends up having to marry 6 men through a lottery system and still finds this to be freedom over her other option... sold to one man who'd treat her as a trophy. This is content that I find intriguing – I had to read this to figure out what was going to happen.
Tia is a smart, highly educated woman, and I really thought I'd enjoy reading about her. She had her moments too, but mostly I found her to be lacking in common sense and a bit simple. There were times it seemed like even she forgot she had education! Like, “Oh, right! I can help with this!” and the ending regarding what she ends up doing/being really irked me. I feel like with Tia there is so much wasted potential.
The story itself I found interesting, yet at the same time... shrugs. I don't even know. Some of it felt really forced in order to make things happen or give the reader certain feelings, yet other parts felt so natural.
Look, in the end it comes down to this: I had a fun time reading this (even if there was way too much sex for my taste) and I don't regret spending my time on it, BUT it isn't one I'd go out of my way to recommend people, unless you really like RH.
