This is what it says on the tin - it's a trashy domestic thriller that doesn't demand (or withstand) too much deep analysis. It was mostly a fun read, though I think maybe the first part dragged for me because they expected the reader to empathize with Nellie and worry that Vanessa was going to do something awful to her out of jealousy. However, it became very clear to me near the beginning that Richard was bad news - a manipulative, predatory control freak - and probably Vanessa was trying to save her replacement from Richard
Still this had some storytelling tricks that surprised me, and I was curious to see how it all worked out. I think ultimately the ending was a little lackluster, and the desperation to force in yet another twist worked against the story.
Overall, fun beach read or palate cleanser if you want something a bit silly but still compelling.
Well....I was not expecting that!
I went into this expecting a sort of okay domestic thriller that I would enjoy but inevitably forget about in a few months, but this was so good!
The story itself isn't anything new, in fact it reminds me of a couple of other books I've read, but the layers of twists upon twists this gave and the reveals were just so well done.
Definitely a pleasant surprise and I'll be picking up other books by these authors soon!
I'm on the fence about this one. Parts of it had me on the edge of my seat, a lot of it made me want to put my head through a wall. 2.5, but i'll round it up.

This book blew me away! I thought I had it all figured out but I never did. It started out confusing but after the end of part one it started to make sense. The twists and turns are fantastic. This is one of my new favorites.
Check out this book! You won't regret it!
The nice thing about this book is that it doesn't matter if you figure out the twists and turns and it doesn't matter if they don't do for you what they do for others - it's so well-written, I just kept gobbling it up. It's interesting enough that even once you realise the book basically boils down to relationship drama, you keep going.
um
i thought i would absolutely love it
it definitely started out great but the characters just kept on being annoying & making dumb decisions
i get the guilt of mc but i don't get why she's go this far, why she'd risk her life for someone she barely knows, someone who literally set her up & refused to open her fucking eyes
im also deeply unsatisfied with the ending, i do not give a fuck about richard's trauma, it doesn't excuse what he did. electric chair period
& the plot twists in the last pages were so weird & unnecessary. it gave “im adding a plot twist just to add a plot twist”, absolutely no substance to it
actually most of the plot twists felt like that

This book is not at all what it seems. But in a good way. A very good way. Surprise after surprise. If you enjoy domestic thrillers add this one to your list. It is quick and thought provoking and will keep you guessing.
Too similar to “The Last Mrs. Parrish” (which I much preferred and which was released first) to the point that I'm tempted to say it very much looks like a case of plagiarism. The twist is easy and very clear from the very beginning (especially if you read “The Last Mrs. Parrish”, but even if you didn't it's pretty clear). I didn't see the following twists coming, but still very disappointing.
Ugh I wrote a review that didn't save so no i'm just gonna sum it up and say that I hate excusing abuse because someone witnessed abuse and also that this book was terribly slow and the perspectives were hard to follow. don't read this.
The twist at the end was an exciting touch, but I think the book was too long and a bit confusing to keep straight in some areas.
This is a first for me, a book that I kept changing my rating on. Don't get me wrong, it was a great book and I absolutely enjoyed it but it just seemed a bit slow and bit fast at times and it was hard to garner an average speed. However, I did love almost absolutely everything else about this book and that's why I am still giving it four stars and would highly recommend it to anyone who likes a twisty psychological thriller type read. You definitely won't be disappointed.
First of all, the plot was definitely very intriguing and full of twists and turns and I loved that! I'm not one who dislikes plot twists, even if it totally feels like it came out of nowhere. The book is divided into three parts and although part one is rather slow and misleads us in a major way, once part two rolls around the speed picks up and it was almost impossible for me to put the book down. It got really addicting and we started to find out all the secrets, one by one. However, once we got towards the last quarter of the book, I feel like there were too many big secrets revealed and connections made and that just didn't sit well with me. It was almost as if the author got a little too happy connecting the dots and dotting the i's so that everything could be tied perfectly into a nice little bow. Some of the dots just seemed a little too far fetched. Before that, I was completely in love with the plot however.
Further on, the characters were developed terrifically in this novel and we got a good sense into their minds and who they truly were. I enjoyed reading about them but didn't really find that I was able to relate to them. Still, I thought that the authors did a great job building on their unique backgrounds and the complexity of their psyche.
In addition, the writing style was probably my favorite aspect in this novel, even though it wasn't a super short read, the pages just kept turning and the novel was finished in a matter of days. I will read the authors' other works, even just because I loved the writing style so much. It just sucked me into the story and I couldn't stop reading for the life of me.
In conclusion, The Wife Between Us is a very entertaining and addicting read for lovers of psychological thrillers. Even though the ending was tied a little too perfectly for me, the book itself did not disappoint. It isn't my favorite psychological thriller but it is definitely still a really good one.
3.5✨ i read 5 thrillers in 5 days. find my full thoughts in this reading vlog >> https://youtu.be/KPBa2jmQKTs
I honestly do not see what the hype about this book is. Extremely boring all the way through ...I could barely bring myself to finish it.
I.. feel... nothing.
This book intrigued me and made me want to keep reading. The synopsis and little blurbs I've seen about it are like “YOUUU WILL NEVER EXPECT THIS SHIT!” so as I was reading and it was proving to be exactly the kind of “thriller” (and I use that word oh-so-lightly) I expected from the title, I was like, “nah, bitch, keep going. You will never expect this shit!”
And found myself disappointed when it was exactly the kind of shit I expected.
Very gripping book full of twists and turns. Enjoyed it very much.
Edited-giving it 3.5 stars. I just finished the authors second book which I found much more thrilling and gripping. Still enjoyed this one.
I thought this was gonna be a fast paced reading, but it was slow and intriguing. Some of the twists in the story were kinda predictable; however, I was pleasantly surprised with scenes that I hadn't see coming. I absolutely loved the ending, and I'm looking forward for the authors' next book!
Good thriller with tons of plot twists. Some on the Friends episode line “they don't know that we know they know”
I really enjoyed this thriller, but I'm not sure why the last little bit was necessary. It was like the author was trying too hard to make one last twist. It just felt forced and rushed. Otherwise, it was pretty good!
This book was so twisty! I loved every second of it. This is one of those books where you never know what it going to happen or where it is going to go. I absolutely loved it.
