The Wicked + The Divine, Vol. 9: Okay

This is, of course, the one that wraps everything, which means that that element of the story necessarily overshadows everything else. There are still a few surprises in here, and some further explanation as to what's been going on, but relatively little compared with the earlier volumes, since we're at the end now and not much more remains to be revealed. It's still a fitting ending from, which, unsurprisingly, not everyone gets out alive. And the one-issue coda at the end does feel a little self-indulgent. Perhaps it only barely warrants the full five stars, but as the conclusion something so large and so well-written, what else could it be?

I felt like this was dragged out over an extra volume because it became sooo popular and it ruined it. If that wasn't the case then they need to learn when is the better point to end a story, because this was not it!

I did not expect to tear up, but I did. This is my favourite volume of this series, and that's why it's sad for me to realise that it's the last one. I'm going to miss this characters, they mean so much to me. I really can't stress enough how much this series means to me.
