The Well of Ascension

This book handles every objection I had with the first. The characters are far more developed and many are more memorable. The main love story is much more interesting , believable and mature. The choices made at the end of the first book were built up very well and made much more sense such as the choice of the city's leader which seemed unbelievable at the end of the first book. The best things about the first one are maintained and built upon, from the lore to the unpredictable yet foreshadowed plot. Overall, loved it.
