This was another fun one when I need something easy to read. Having watched the show, I was left wondering what would happen when it diverged from what I knew in the show. I appreciated Kate's and Anthony's growth. Some of it was a bit silly, but of course.
Glad I persisted with this series after not loving The Duke and I, because this was pretty delightful. I loved the MC, though I would've liked more development of the relationship between her and Edwina (and I was kind of hoping there would be an Edwina book, but looks like no such luck). There wasn't anything earth-shattering or unexpected here, but there's nothing wrong with an enjoyable way to spend a few hours.
In all honesty, it should be four stars because for a romance novel it is very well written and full of humour. After seeing the Netflix series of the first Bridgertons book I was intrigued into giving the series a try. That I completed this one says a lot about its quality, but romance novels are certainly not my thing. It is much better to look at all the colourful dresses and magnificent decors than reading about it.
