I cried a lot during this book, especially towards the end! I love how Apollo has become a lot more human despite his powers starting to come back. I really liked Reyna in this book, especially closer to the end! Seeing Apollo miss Artemis and vice versa was really sweet! I can't decide if this was my favorite or not so far, but it was definitely amazing and had fantastic character interactions and character development!
This is the fourth in a series. What I found exciting is that the author explores different cities in each book. This one was just as exciting as the first three, and Apollo is still a mortal. I think this one was a little darker, but nothing that my 10-year-old grandson found disturbing.
I never marked this book as âreadingâ. My bad.
This has nothing to do with how good the book was, but this is the second time I've been reading a Riordan book thinking that it was the last in a series only to realize near the end of the book that it's clearly not the end of the series.
I enjoy this series, and liked this book too.
It's always fun to read Rick Riordan. An entertaining journey and new mythological creatures to research. Apollo's quest has been nail biting and heartbreaking at times, but humorous as well. The growth of Apollo throughout the books has been phenomena. I can't wait for the fifth one but at the same time am sad for the adventure to end.
