The Tourist Attraction

I tried to finish it, but it got too much. I don't like any of the characters (except maybe Lana? She seems to have brains and a personality at least), none of them have more than one personality trait, Graham is grumpy because the hates tourists, Zoey loves everything about Alaska, Killian and all the other resort people are just rich, and all the townspeople are grumpy but supposedly good people. The main characters seem to only like each other because the think the other is hot and/or cute, they don't have any actual chemistry. And unless there's a big reveal in the last chapter, we don't ever find out why Zoey is so obsessed with Alaska, I don't care about the actual reason, maybe she just wants to escape her small town and thought Alasky would be beautiful or whatever, but give me something. It just seems weird that there's never a moment where someone asks her why she's been saving for literal years and quit her job to come there, since it's clearly so important to her.

The main characters are also so inconsistent, Graham is apparently not looking for a one-night stand but keeps seeking her out because...? She's pretty? She's there but not obnoxiously rich? Zoey is broke and supposedly barely had enough money to eat, but spends a ton on a Brazilian wax at the expensive hotel so she can have sex with Graham?

Also I don't love how violent Graham is, constantly offering to fight people, the weird hitting thing with his friend, hitting the wall when he's upset, beating up some people instead of handing them to the police.

Not the book for me.

Long with a rushed ending, but cute

It was good, I loved graham and his pup jake, but his random violence streak was really strange? He's a sweet guy rough around the edges but he was in too many fights. Seemed out of character???

Cute winter read that went on just a little too long.

I'm glad zoey got a happy ending.

I loved the setting! Moose Springs is amazing!
All the characters are great, even the secondary characters. I loved Zoey, I liked Graham a lot and their dynamic was very charming. But at a point, things started to drag a little and the hate on the tourists took a very unexpected turn... I found it a little repetitive too.
I still enjoyed it a lot though, so I'll read the next book in the series.

This was such a cute read! While I was deceived into thinking it was a holiday book based on the cover, the book actually takes place in July. I shouldn't have assumed since it's set in Alaska but either way, I enjoyed the book! Such a sweet romance, grumpy/sunshine vibes! The story was so cute and well written. I laughed (and even cried) while reading it. There's an amazing relationship between the male MC and his dog that was seriously the sweetest thing ever. This book kind of spoke to me. The FMC plans what she thinks is a once in a life time vacation full of excursions that keep going awry (I feel like this would happen to me because I'm always planning things that sometimes don't pan out). Tender tender romance, but if you're looking for spice look elsewhere this book was all fade to black and tension. I didn't mind it though since I was living the story- it didn't need the spice. I think this is adult maybe because of the age of the characters, but there was no smut and honestly I don't remember any language either. Just a nice cinnamon roll, feel good read.

An adorable love story about a girl who saves up for an incredible Alaskan vacation and finds more than she thought she would in the little town of Moose Springs. It's also a story about a small town that is struggling to stay afloat without tourism, and finding a way to come to terms with changes that the town may need. There is even an adorable dog and (of course) a love-sick moose. Perfect read to distract me from world events right now.

3.25 stars it was okay. Some parts were really funny.

This was a delightful laugh-out-loud rom-com. It kept me wanting more. The dynamic between Graham (the grumpy alaskan native) and Zoey (the corky traveler) was fun lovely and entertaining. By the end I had on a wide smile, wanting to hop on a plane to Alaska and find my very own Graham Barnett.

I would definitely recommend this one!

Can't wait for Sarah Morgenthanler next book!
