The details of the physical warriors, the mechanics of their construction and the complex in which they were housed and the restoration of them were fantastically interesting. The book also delves into the people and politics and the history, which was less captivating for me, but essential if a full understanding of the circumstances around the Terracotta Army is required.
John Man is methodical in his research and presentation, and the books is very readable, taking on almost a conversational approach at times.
Great photographs included also.
