The Taking of Jake Livingston

Alright so I had some high expectations for this book, specifically because I got it when it was first released & I thought it sounded amazing. The concept is great, I love a good paranormal read!! I just feel like it could've been executed a tad bit better. It also took me quite a while to get used to the writing style, and even when I did I decided that it's still not my favorite, just not for me. Anyways I really did enjoy the Jake + Allister romance :) I loved the ending, it was really sweet! I also love how the author not only talked about how it is being black in a predominantly white area but also what it's like to be black & queer. Overall I would say give this book a go if you're into ghosts it's a fun experience.
