The Sword of Goliath

Me and my craving for engaging, intense and interesting world building, tinged with dark and having a sharp bite, this time around led me to discover a new gem - Evelyn Silver and the Bloodline Chronicles. The story and the plot drew me in to the point that I completely lost track of time and finished it in a matter of hours. It has everything I love about fantasy world building - bonus points for the original twist on the classic depiction of witches, vampires and hunters, the overt bisexuality of the main characters and a female protagonist with a clear command and understanding of her powers, not a helpless damsel in distress - a witch with good judgement of the battles she chooses. Sarai is an intriguing box of surprises and secrets that I can't wait to see more of. This is one of my truly rare dips into sapphic romance and I'm very pleased with my choice to give this author a chance. It was totally worth it.
