Look, I tried to get through this because I heard The Takeover is good, but this is such a chore to listen to.

Good stuff:
- Narrators do a great job
- It has funny moments
- Spice is sizzling
- Emily has some awesome, mature moments and really does try to protect her boundaries... even if she usually does give in sigh

Now, not so great stuff:
Jameson acts like a spoiled child who doesn't understand basic niceties. Emily is sometimes overly emotional and jealous because she's trying to force herself to be FwB when she KNOWS she's not cut out for it. Also, their communication is open when they fight and whenever Emily tries to explain herself rationally, Jameson over reacts. Example: She keeps ordering their drinks without consulting her. She tells him she doesn't like that. She says something like he doesn't know how not to be a controlling ass (I'm paraphrasing) and so she's like I need you to not be??? And he responds with FINE, I won't order your drink anymore.
My eyes hurt from rolling so hard. It is so friggin' sexist, because I 100% doubt he orders the wine for a table of men.
Another example? He says he wants to go home because that's where he is comfortable. She says yeah, that's why I want to stay at MY home, this is where I AM comfortable. Jameson acts shocked and in disbelief which again... how is he not seeing they are in the same situation?!

So, the book is the have sex, they fight, they make up, have sex and act couple-y even though they both agree they are monogamous but NOT in a relationship. -_-“

The back and forth, the childishness– I just can't anymore, I'm so tired.
