As I try to write this review just a few days after finishing the book, I am realizing I have absolutely nothing to say about it.
I mean, the romance isn't truly insta-love, it just has that feeling and honestly Akinli is the most vibrant part of the book. I guess it feels like insta-love because once he enters the picture Kehlan starts feeling even worse about being a Siren. But, she already felt guilty about causing people's deaths so it almost felt like we didn't need him?
At least the Siren sisters talked about other things besides romance...
But... that is all really? I was pretty bored reading this book, to be honest. I didn't feel like there was much else. I probably should have read the summary more, because I would have realized that this was a love story... I really would have preferred Kehlan and Akinli talk more than a handful of times in the book so I could grow to like them as a couple...
Anyhow, I might recommend this to people, but to be honest I'll probably forget about it until I see it again.
