A book that makes you question whom you encounter in life, and how you view certain people or events. It deals with some incredibly hard issues that Bean and her sister have to face and the ugly reality of society at times, yet the book also gives you hope with the symbolism of the emus, and leaves you wondering if the two sisters had a ‘happy ending'
