The Secret

The Secret is the 28th book in the Jack Reacher series. I have read, and loved its predecessors, and although I didn't hate The Secret, I didn't quite love it either.
The Secret takes us back to 1992. Reacher is an army MP, recently demoted to Captain. He is assigned to a task force, set up to investigate the murders of scientists involved in a top secret project in India in 1969.
There is the usual Reacher fisticuffs, and bending of rules, but the book was lacking something.
I'm giving it 3.5 ⭐ because, even though I didn't love it, it entertained me on a couple of winter nights.
