I have mixed feelings. It was a funny page-turner.

The underlying theme seemed somewhat contradictory; how love is about accepting people as they are and not trying to change them but also how love changes people and leads them to question their assumptions and expectations. I think this could have used some more exploration, but the ending is pretty abrupt and unambiguous.

Put simply, Don didn't do for me what Eleanor Oliphant's character did. The story was sympathetic, but the characters were relatively lacking depth and nuance.
