The Return

Gruber said this book was influenced by Fuentes' Old Gringo, and since I haven't read that book, I can't say how close they are in content or theme. But, The Return is about a man in his late 50s who returns to Mexico after 30 years on a mysterious trip to accomplish something only he knows.

A really enjoyable read from one of my favorite living authors. If you're a fan of Gruber's, this one is a little different from his more mainstream works, but you'll still like it.
