It was a chill read. I loved how food is really part of our lives. It can bring us back to when we were kids or just a specific moment or event in life. Food really does bring back nostalgic moments and its just heartwarming that foodis there to remind us what we felt when we first took a bite of that dish.
I loved that this one had so many unique and challenging situations. There were unexpected dishes that the customers asked for, but then when you find out why it is so sweet. We see the layers of these characters in just a few minutes when we start investigating the foods that are special to them. If you like books with investigations and layered characters, read this one.
I'm not sure what it was about this one that I loved so much more than the first, but I did. The descriptions of all the dishes made me crave everything, but it also made me want to cook too!
