Burndee is a young and cantankerous fairy godfather who would rather bake cakes than help humans. A disgrace to the fairy order, Burndee has only two wards entrusted to his care . . . a cinder girl and a charming prince. A royal ball presents Burndee with the brilliant solution of how to make his wards happy with the least amount of effort. He'll arrange a meeting and hope the two fall in love. A humorous and magical re-telling of Cinderella from a unique perspective.

Wow, what has happened to Cinderella?
I thoroughly enjoyed this twist on the classic Cinderella tale. Burndee and his dislike for his job of godfather was hilarious! He has such a dry sense of humor, and a deep love of baking pastries. Ella is smarter than he thinks, too...each page was a fun romp.
There were some typos on a number of pages that were a trifle bothersome, but not enough to mar the storyline or the meaning of the text (too/to, etc).
Content: mentions and use of magic; no mentions of any magical creatures other than fairies.
