This was just not all that interesting. Too much jumping back and forth in time, characters' names changed from the past to the present so it felt like too many characters to keep track of. And in the end, I just did not care about anyone except the one whose death goes unsolved!
1 1/2 stars. Uncomfortably and unduly complicated. I enjoyed the previous books in this series, but I had to force myself to finish this one. And although I am a voracious reader, I had a great deal of trouble keeping track of who was who, even in the denouement.
From all the books I have read from this series I would say this is by far the weakest. It is filled with just endless clichés and stereotypes and characters in utter black and white.
Parts are enjoyable, especially the last part is not too bad, but in overall I can't really warm myself up. Was a bit of a let down.
