The story is jumping back-n-forth with no logic, I had to reread the synopsis to figure out how to make sense of this.

On the positive side, this does have some interesting science to contemplate.

Packed to the gills with so many cool sci fi ideas. But also I didn't fully understand what was going on all the time. I'm not sure how much of that is my fault though. Still highly enjoyed.

A largely enjoyable romp, but too much feeling uncertain about what is even being talked about to feel wholly involved.

I felt that there were some good ideas in this book however I really didn't manage to put them together and make sense of them. Parts of it made sense to me, other parts really made no sense to me whatsoever. This may indeed not be the authors fault, but a lack of sci-fi intelligence on my part!

Why in the Nine Hells didn't this book get a Hugo Award nomination? This is a fantastic SF novel! The characters are well written, the world is masterfully crafted, and the ideas inside the book are gloriously presented. I'm definitely going to read the next book in the series.

Great science fiction with fresh ideas. Haanu really pulled everything together in the end. I'll have to give it a second read to fully absorb everything. Looking forward to his next book.
