Good, but not my favorite Tibbert. Should have seen that coming - I'm not a monarchist! Neither is she, but it's obviously central to the plot in a way that irked me more than I anticipated. Still, it's sexy like Tibbert always is, and her most adventurous in terms of dynamics (e.g., power exchange).
Mark my words Talia Hibbert will be a household name in the uk in 20 years. 3.5
Decent book with lovely representation. It's by far not Talia Hibberts best book but still a good one.
This is only the second book I have read by this author and while I did enjoy it I wouldn't say it's a favorite. This book does have a little bit of a BDSM aspect but it's very light and I think done in a positive way. The sex scenes were definitely steamy which we all know I love at this point but I do have to say I felt the romance was a little lackluster. Like at times it was believable but at others it wasn't. It's hard to put my finger on why the romance didn't fully work for me. Ruben had a traumatic past and despite that he cares tremendously for others which I loved. He was always looking out for everyone around him not really caring about himself. I also have to point out the diversity in this book. There is bi rep plus our heroine is black/curvy. While this wasn't my favorite book by this author I definitely want to read more by her.

This did literally nothing wrong I just don't think that Talia Hibbert and I get along. I haven't loved any of her books and feel pretty average about most of them. I usually adore the royal trope too but something about this just wasn't amazing to me and I just feel meh.
I absolutely LOVED this one. The characters were so precious and I feel like everything was written in such a realistic way, so I was able to feel everything even more deeply.
This author is amazing!!
