The Princess Saves Herself in this One

There are some strong words in here and many times I thought “good for her”, but this was not what I would consider poetry. It was as if someone collected all the daily journaling snippets they wrote and put them into a book format. Hitting “enter” after every other word or so doesn't make it poetry. There was no flow. The words strung together were not lyrical or have any sort of rhythm. Poetry is basically an outpouring of emotion in a prose that has a rhythm to it. Of course, not all poetry has to be this way but you expect some sort of composition....

The emotion is definitely there and she spoke in way that called to me, but I did find myself at times thinking, this is all it takes to publish nowadays?
