First thing I just loved about this book is the fact that I was not completly confused when I started reading it. Recently alot of the fantasy books I have read just throw me off a ledge and expect me to find and hold onto some ledges. Meaning that they are super confusing. This is a thing that only counts to adult fanatsy however.
Even tho I did not feel like we were thrown off a ledge I felt we were still intreduced properly to the world and how it works and who she is.
This is not a YA at all, juding by the themes. The way things are disribed are also more adult. Meaning often we are made to make connections and conclutions ourself in order to undertstand what is actually happeing on a proper way.
There was a few things I did not like, like Master Jun. I mean he seemed nice and all. But Kicking Rin out so there was no way she could actually properly train Combat.I mean it got all figured out and she deffintly learnt combat. Just ARGH I hate unfairly mean caracthers. There was also other caracthers I did like in the start that ended up in a way so I could not actully hate them anymor and I wanted to hate them honestly. That is a minor thing tho so it can not bring it super down.
Some things as a list format that I did enjoy was:
- Rin and Juing, I mean YEPS I likey.
- The honesty of the war. It was not all dark but also was not made all good and nice
- The real emotions felt and showed in Rin. Like it terms of how she feels after killing people and such
Also the edning... I am not sure if I liked it... but it was ok? Was not terrible and I want to read the secound one.
