This felt like I was plopped in middle of a series though (especially with all her stuff with her brother) and I felt a bit disconnected.

A lot of this authors historical romances are on KU though so I'm going to give those a shot too!

I fell in love with this short story about 5 mins in. I just did. 4.5 because I hate how she lashed out at him at one point and her apology needed to be a bit more... a lot more. I don't think being mean and hurtful is necessary. Even then I thoroughly enjoyed this one so much. I would love to read more from this author but I'll wait until she writes something similar/same genre as this one.
