I have read, and enjoyed, everything Jo Nesbø has written to date.
To say that The Night House is a huge departure from his Harry Hole series, would be a serious understatement.
Without giving too much of the plot away, The Night House is a horror story. Part one has a YA feel to it, reminiscent of the Goosebumps stories. Part two sees a slight plot twist, but it is part three that pulls everything together and leaves you wondering “what the heck did I just read?”
The Night House is a disturbing, spine-tingling read, perfect for a dark, winter's night.
