Great Writing, Somewhat Dull Story

I don't even know how to classify what I feel about this particular book. The story it told didn't engage me until the last third, but the writing style kept me entertained and interested from beginning to end. Anthony Marra has a way with words which I absolutely adored in this, but the plot itself left me underwhelmed. I suppose a two or three star rating would be more apt, but I do love the writing style so I'm going to be generous here.
