It's Halloween night and 10-year-old Mona is stuck inside without so much as a scary movie to watch. She figures this Halloween couldn't get any worse, but a giant monster appears in her living room to prove her very, very wrong. She is chased out into the night where she encounters some odd new friends and finds herself on a quest to save humanity from billions of monsters. Though Mona is the textbook definition of a reluctant hero, she and her friends will do their best to keep this from being... The Last Halloween.

I read through this ARC which first off thank you for the opportunity to the publisher to read this amazing Graphic novel. I am giving this an overall five star hands down. I wish i could go beyond 5 because it was a very well done. I've read many comics and graphic novels in my life but this one will stick with me for a long long time because of how good it was. The illustrations were amazingly detailed and vivid. The layout of each page was easy to read and follow. The characters, yesss, lets talk about the characters. I love love loved how diverse and unique each character was. Mona's dad of Transgender representation possibly thinking face unsure with the short amount he was in this one I definitely LOVED! Mona herself love her attitude and her curiosity throughout. I really liked that the group of kids was of varying ages and uniqueness as well. I could not put this down and read it all in one sitting. As a horror graphic novel some of the creatures/monsters did creep me out but it was a good quiver. Overall, will be talking about how good this one is for quite some time.
I will read anything that Abby Howard does because I love her style so much. This book didn't even need to have a compelling story and adorable characters and diversity in terms of race and gender but it does so that's even better.
