Giovanni Hughes is a painter, poet, bartender, and heart-breaker. Gi had his heart broken by someone who was living on the down low and he will not go there again. Then one night Lamar St. Jon walks into the club and his heart goes soft while everything else gets hard.

Lamar takes one look at Gi and wants more. The problems mount as no one but Gi and his therapists know that Lamar is gay. Lamar has a choice to make.

I am going to confess right now that I love this book. Eliza David takes us through The Lamar St. Jon Experience (WriteGirlProblems Press, B0825BJKKT, 2019) and it is amazing. Why do I say that?

Everyone's coming out experience is different and Lamar's is as well. Just as his new friends laugh about it, I had no clue that there was therapy for “coming out” or that there are six phases (laugh). Watching Lamar stumble as we all do and learn was an emotional adventure.

Gi and Lamar are incendiary together. They each have issues of abandonment and distrust. Learning together how to overcome and deal with these matters with love, passion, and yes sex is fun to read.

The Lamar St. Jon Experience is the third book in “The Follow” series and you are going to want to follow this review by picking up the book. It is a must read. ✶✶✶✶✶
