The Kingdoms of Ruin, Vol. 1

This book is so much darker than I thought it would be. I bought it for my teen section, but after reading it immediately had it re-cataloged into the adult section. The first two-page spread (page 2 and 3 I think) is a picture of witches being hung, just BAM. I was not at all ready for it, so shocking. Then there is the mentions of rape, sexual assault, slavery, and so much death on page.

I'm not saying it isn't a good book – I do think this is someone else's cup of tea, but totally isn't mine.
