This was a highly imaginative, skillfully written, well-plotted adventure with great characters and a fascinating magic system (that I really never got a great handle on)...and it did absolutely nothing for me. I'm sure it'll attract a bunch of adoring fans, and probably deserves to, but I'm not one.
Sorry, Ms. Saintcrow, just not for me.
