I was desperately looking for an audiobook for my road trip because I have bad anxiety and audiobooks help a great deal. So when Tiktok kept showing me this book I decided to give it a go and boy did it not disappoint.

For a 6 1/2 hour drive there and back I listened to it with my husband, who by the way doesn't like these types of books, and we both were in love. The scenery from the book went so well with what we were seeing. Addie, Luc, even Henry, but also Remy were fantastic characters. Addie's determination was so witty and inspiring. She was a woman who wanted to live life and not have to settle for some man. I get that. Luc is the dark and mysterious god who is also cruel and a jerk... a lot. Though I couldn't help but fall for him a bit. Then you have sad sad Henry. He just made me depressed but sometimes he had me cheering for him. A lot of people said he was boring but HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE. He literally made a deal with Luc because he never felt good enough. so to say that he was boring... was the actual point of him.

The only problem I had with the book was the ending. The open ending when she could have written another book or a few more chapters to let us know where she went after Luc was done with her or if he ever was. To me it was lazy.

I would recommend the book to people who look on the outside of the box as well as inside and in between.
