I thought I knew how I was going to review this book.. I was certain that it would be easy. After finishing “The Hunger of the Gods”, I am lost on what to say..
The pieces on the Tafl board are moving and war has arrived, but at a cost.. a cost I'm not willing to accept either. The ending, the last sentence, killed me. Had me crying as I closed the book at a loss on how I can continue without knowing the outcome.. October is simply too far away.
The found families. The reveals. The twists. All had me sitting from cover to cover NEEDING to know what was going to happen next. The hints of romance we got as well kept my heart happy. The pacing of this one was soo much better than the first book. I was invested in the story from start to finish and could think of nothing but these characters.
I will be at Barnes on release day bright and early to get my hands on the final book in this trilogy. I don't know how I will ever move on from these characters. This is a brilliant novel and one that quickly became a favorite of mine.

Ps: don't start this if you don't have the third book on hand.. you will regret it.
