There is nothing to be found in the pages of these books but misery and despair. You still have time to choose something else to read. But if you must know what unpleasantries befall the charming and clever Baudelaire children read on...The Hostile Hospital - There are many pleasant things to read about, but this book contains none of them. Within its pages are such burdensome details as a suspicious shopkeeper, unnecessary surgery, heartshaped balloons, and some very starling news about a fire. Clearly you do not want to read about such things.

lemony snicket takes a break from his regularly scheduled programming to do some medical horror for children, interspersed with a load of fatphobia and transphobia,,, for some reason???
(unfortunately there's also a fair bit of good lore and plot development in this book, so that earns it its two stars)
In this next book about the Baudelaires, the orphans try to make research to know more about VFD and other informations the Quagmire triplets gathered. But of course Count Olaf would not leave them alone.
To be honest I was a little disappointed but this book. With the end of the other I really thought that much more informations and actions were to come. But it was still enjoyable, it's easy to read or listen to and I love the characters and the writing that bring so much humour in this quite dark story. I will obviously continue.
