Terrifically well written. A plausible thought experiment. Dystopic. Original. A rather convincing plot, although not terribly well balanced.

Funny tempi. Whelan and especially Bryce get stuck in bad places for a loooong time - the story seems to be stalling a little there. Other events fly by, transitions happen in an instant - like the killing of Bryce and the murders by Whelan.

Yes, the heroe gets killed. Rather unceremoniously, too, Shocking, but not in real hardass politics. So it seems fitting as well.

All in all a surprising read. Unusual, a little rough around the edges, but surprising.
