The Hobbit

Summary: Bilbo Baggins, a hobbit, one day finds that he has been volunteered by Gandalf, the famed wizard, to assist a company of 13 dwarves to recover the city and riches that were stolen from their people many years ago by a fierce dragon. Although Bilbo, who is not particularly brave but who has in him some small sense of adventure that is unusual for hobbits, may seem an unlikely hero, his story demonstrates the power of taking the next step when you want to give up, showing courage in the face of fear, and having someone believe in you.
